Parbold

Despite spending most of his life in Wigan, David was born in Parbold in 1959. During the 1990s David returned to his origins and took Parbold as the inspiration for a new series of paintings. Scenes such as "Parbold Hill" and "The Canal at Parbold" hold special fondness from David's Childhood. It is actually David as a young boy with the rest of his family that is depicted in "The Railway Pub" painting.
